The hand rest inclination can be adjusted
until optimally suited to the arm. For this
purpose, it can be set to three different
position.
4.2.3 Checking the setup,
final adjustment
1. Check adjustments 1 through 7 to ensure
that:
a) the pivot of motor A and the pivot of
the patient's shoulder joint correspond
for anteversion/retroversion
b) the pivot of motor B and the pivot of
the shoulder correspond for abduction/
adduction
c) the rotational axis of motor C, the cen-
ter of the elbow joint, and the center of
the shoulder joint form a straight line.
2. Check that all locking screws are tight-
ened and all clamping levers properly
closed.

4.3 Switching the device off
1. To completely switch off the device, turn
off the power switch (43).
2. To completely disconnect the device from
the power supply (all poles), remove the
power cord from the wall outlet.
Note!
• Set up the device in a location where
the power switch and the power plug
are readily accessible at all times.
• Stop system
(ending the therapy session):
The ARTROMOT®-S4 will stop imme-
diately, when any of the three buttons
is pressed during the therapy session.
As an alternative, you can tap the
display during operation. The question
"STOP?" will appear in the header of
the display. Tap the field to end the
session. When the START button is
pressed afterwards, the CPM device
automatically moves in the opposite
direction of the last movement.
