3. MODEL IDENTIFICATION
Model, Series and chassis number are tractor identification data found on a
data plate located on the gear control .
4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
4.1 LIGHT SWITCH AND HORN
See Fig. 6
0 = No circuit live
1 = Parking lights
2 = Low beams
3 = High beams (not for on-road use)
When pressed: horn.
4.2 IGNITION SWITCH
See Fig. 7 and engine instruction manual
0 = No circuit alive.
P = Preheat glow plugs. Hold the key in this position for 8-10 seconds.
1 = Turn on instruments and status lights (operating position).
2 = Start engine.
Before starting the engine, check to make sure that the gear levers (5-11 Fig.1)
are in neutral.
Make sure that knob N° 19 fig.1 is disengaged (the engine is prevented from
starting for safety reasons).
Make sure that lever N° 3 fig.1 is in the independent position (for safety reasons,
the engine is prevented from starting when the lever is in the synchronised
position).
Depress the clutch (10 Fig.1) to close the "Push And Start" device, turn the
ignition key (Fig.7) to Pos. 1. The indicator lights will come on. Turn the ignition
key to Pos. 2. Once the engine has started, release the key which will
automatically reset to Pos. 1. Check the status indicator lights and instruments.
The water temperature thermometer needle (1. Fig.2), once the engine is hot
and during normal running will be between 80° and 100°. If it is not, check the
engine cooling circuit.
Stop the engine and check engine coolant level (Section 5.4), radiator cleaning
status and belt tension.
Each starting attempt should last for just a few seconds. Make a second attempt
after a minute so as not to run down the battery.
