5.2 Installation and connection
•
Discard the complete packing material after unpacking the device.
•
Place the device on top of an even and safe surface which supports the weight of
the device and is not heat sensitive.
•
Not at any time should you place the device on an inflammable surface (such as:
table cloth, carpet, etc.).
•
You must not position the device near open fireplaces, electric ovens/arc furnaces,
furnaces/electric heaters or other heat sources.
•
Never install the device in a damp or wet environment.
•
The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the
unit directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
•
Place the unit so that the plug is easily accessible and can be quickly removed from
its socket in case of necessity.
5.3 Operating
•
Prior to first use it is necessary to clean the device (see section 6.2 "Cleaning").
•
Prepare plates of the proper size (Ø up to 320 mm). Prior to filling the device the
plates must be washed and dry. Place them on the appropriate shelves in the device.
NOTE!
For best results, fill the shelves starting from the top.
•
Close the rotating glass door on the device.
•
Connect the device to an appropriate single-device electrical socket.
•
Turn the device on using the on/off switch. The green control light next to the
switch will come on.
•
Set the proper temperature using the temperature regulator. The temperature
setting ranges from 30° - 80° C, ideal temperature i s approx. 60° C. At a setting of
60° C the risk of burns from handling hot plates is minimal. Food served will remain
warm for a long time when placed on a plate at that temperature.
WARNING! Danger of burns!
When temperature is set above 60° C it is necessary to wear protective gloves or
use kitchen towels when removing plates from the warmer in order to avoid
burning of fingers or hands.
