Installation Instructions for units with impact protection
Installation instructions for units with M12x1 plug connector with an impact protection/ metal safety
sleeve for the use in zones:
ATEX
II 3G Ex ec IIC T6, T5, T4 Gc
IECEx
Ex ec IIC T6, T5, T4 Gc
By adherence to safety guidelines in the protection types and applications: the usage of the impact
protection metal safety sleeve is stringently required. The hex. 27 mm flats on the electrical
connection side exclusively serves for fixing of the pressure transmitter during the installation of the
impact protection/ metal safety sleeve. The connection of the cable with M12x1 plug may only be
carried out correctly in de-energized state to avoid loosening of the plug connection due to
vibrations. The recommended tightening torque is at 0.6 Nm, however, it should never exceed the
value of 1.5 Nm. The impact protection/ metal safety sleeve included in delivery must also be
tightened correctly with a torque of 20 Nm. Also the separation of the M12x1 connector ma y only
be carried out if the system is switched off.

Dismantling
When dismantling the pressure transmitter, the electrical connections have to be disconnected
from the power supply and it has to be impossible to switch it on unintendedly.
It is absolutely necessary for the process connections or their superordinate sy stem, including
eventually existing pressure accumulators, to be depressurized before dismantling and to reduce
existing pressure loads. Otherwise, there is the risk of leaking fluid due to the pressure or sudden
uncontrolled drop or lowering of system parts.
For dismantling no other flats may be used than the ones specified in the installation instructions.
