Fault messages

Faults during switch on
Message Possible cause
INT.ERROR Internal fault
Fault messages during AUTOTUNE function
Message Possible cause
TURN POT Range of the position transducer exceeded
(only with internal feedback transducer option)
ERR 2 Actuator not adjustable
Opening time < 0.5 s
ERR 3 Actuator volume is too big
(opening time > 30 sec.)
ERR 4 Miscellaneous failure causes:
- manual operation of valve not
in basic setting
- no air pressure connected
- position transducer not connected

Remedy
Not possible, unit defective
Remedy
Remove the positioner from
the actuator,and turn
the transducer from 180°. cf fig 2.
Fit the positioner with
bigger air chambers.
Reduce the air pressure
use a positioner with valves
connected in parallel
- Check manual actuation
parameters
- Check compressed air supply
- Check the electrical connection
of the transducer;If internal position
control system only.(cf fig. 2)
Check the mechanical coupling
of the position controler;if external
position control system (cf fig. 3)
