Removing the fairing
Some servicing operations need the motorcycle fairing to
be removed.

Warning
Firmly secure all removed parts when refitting them,
otherwise some of them might suddenly come off when
riding and you may lose control of your motorcycle.
Important
At reassembly always use nylon washers when
tightening fastening screws, not to damage painted parts
and Plexiglas windscreen of headlight fairing. Some
fastening screws are of the self-tapping type; do not
overtighten, otherwise threading might damage and
screws would not be tightened properly next time.
Lower body panels
Unscrew the four screws (1) that hold each lower body
panel to the upper body panels (fig. 57).
