Introduction
introduction
2.
Behnke Series 10 Intercom stations are high
quality hands-free phones that can be used
like a standard (analogue) desk telephone
with an analogue landline connection or
as an analogue extension to a telephone
system. The basic functions do not require
an additional power supply. The built-in
relay enables a number of control functions.
Usually, the Behnke Series 10 door intercom is
used as a hands-free remote station.

2.1. General features
▸
Full-duplex, hands-free telephone
In standard mode, Behnke Series 10
Intercom stations work exactly like a full-
duplex hands-free phone. In this mode,
both parties to the call may speak and
listen at the same time. Speaker volume
and maximum connection interval may be
adjusted.
▸
Voice-controlled duplex operation with
additional amplifier.
With an additional 15 V power supply, the
built-in amplifier may be activated. Where
the additional amplifier is activated,
Behnke Series 10 Intercom stations are set
to voice-controlled duplex operation mode.
Depending on which party is currently
speaking, either speaker or microphone
will be energised to achieve higher
volumes with-out audio feedback. In case
the additional power supply is lost, the
system automatically returns to full-duplex
operations mode.
▸
Flexible remote set-up
Behnke Series 10 Intercom stations offer
numerous set-up options. The system is
set up remotely using configuration steps
entered on a telephone with DTMF dialling.
To enter set-up mode, please enter the four-
digit security code. By choosing "reset", the
system will return to its default settings.
