Remove the old saw blade and memorize the direction of the teeth!
Mount the new saw blade (take care of the correct direction of the teeth), remount the flange
and fix it with the flange screw.

6.3 Change the carbon brush

If your HOLZMANN KAP 305JL motor becomes loud or even does not start anymore, the car-
bon brushes are probably worn.
Remove with a screwdriver the carbon brush cover (30). If the carbon brush is worn (<4mm)
you need to replace the 2 carbon brushes.
Memorize the direction of the carbon brushes when removing
them. Take care to insert the new brushes similarly.
Run the saw for 10 minutes in idle run. Release the accelera-
tor lever and observe the time interval required for the saw
blade to stop. If it takes long time to stop (~ 20 seconds),
then the electric saw blade brake does not work. Let the saw be checked by a professional.

6.4 Storage

Never store outdoors!
Storage temperatures should be between +5°C and + 40°C. Store at a dry and tidy place.

6.5 Disposal

Do not dispose your KAP 305JL with domestic waste. Inform yourself at your local authorities
about the available possibilities of proper disposal of machinery.
In many countries your reseller is obliged to take back your old machine for disposal if you
buy a new machine with similar function at his shop.
