Press PLAY/PAUSE to switch to playback-mode and recall the cue memory point via the CUE or BOP-
button.
Deleting cue memory-points:
Remove the current CD from the slot and keep the MEMORY-button pressed, untile the display indicates
„RESET". Now all cue memory points, that were stored before, are deleted.
CD Reverse / Instant Reverse-function
With the Forward / Reverse-selector, you can change the rotation direction of the CD.
Activate the Instant Reverse-function (LED glows), to suspend the analog brake time and brake sound at the
change of the rotation direction. This mode has a 10 second buffer; e.g. if you reverse a track at 00:50 sec.
and switch back to the forward direction at 00:45 sec, the track will actually start playback at 00:55 sec.
You can do without this 10 sec. buffer if you keep the Instant Reverse-button pressed for 3 seconds (LED
flashes). This way, you can reverse the track at 00:50 sec. and when switching to the forward direction at
00:45 sec. the player directly resumes playback at 00:45 sec.
Note: If the selector is in reverse position, the Cue-function is not applicable!
CD Effects
When the CD-player is in play-mode, you can start effects via the respective button (glows red).
Flanger: The effect of a jet engine is added to the original sound.
Filter: The original sound is modified in accordance with the parameter setting.
Echo: An echo is added to the original sound.
Set the effect parameters with the encoder between 1-4 and 64-1. The player must be in stop or pause-
mode. Keep the appropriate Effect-button pressed and turn the encoder clockwise to increase the effect.
Turn the encoder anti-clockwise to decrease the effect.
CD Track-programming
The player must be in stop-mode. (keep the TIME-button pressed for 3 seconds to switch to stop-mode)
Press the PROG/ID-button. Select the desired track with the encoder. Confirm by pressing the PROG/ID-
button once again. This way, you can program up to 16 tracks per CD. Press Play/Pause to start the
playback of the program. Exit a program by activating the stop mode, changing the disc or switching off the
unit.
CD Relay-operation
In relay-operation, the unit automatically switches to the other player after playback has stopped. This way,
you can enlarge your music program by using several CDs. In Single-mode, after every track the CD is
changed. While in Continuous-mode, CD 1 is played completely before the unit switches to CD 2.
CD Faderstart
The CDV-500 can be started via a faderstart-compatible mixing console. Make sure that the Remote-socket
is connected with the respective socket of your mixing console. Additionally, the Audio Out-sockets have to
be connected with the Line In-sockets. Insert a CD and select a track (pause-mode). Then start the playback
via your mixing console.
Via the Remote Select-selector, you can choose the playback type for the faderstart-function.
Lock: The CD-player is in playback-mode.
Tack: The CD-player is in playback-mode and can switch to pause-mode.
Cue Play: The CD-player is in playback-mode and can switch back to the cue-point.
Prerequisites for the Faderstart-operation:
The mixer has to be connected via a 3.5 mm mono jack with the CD-player. For starting the playback, the
jack's positive pin (tip) is to be connected with the audio mass via a short impulse. For pausing the playback,
the jack's negative pin (sleeve) is to be connected with the audio mass via a short impulse. The mixer has to
be equipped with a switch, button or fader that will connect the tip with the audio mass for starting the
playback and the sleeve for pausing the playback when the respective channel is activated.
