Switch on the CDV-500 via the power switch. The CD-Player is in pause-mode and the platter motor is off
Operating modes
With the CDV-500, three operating modes are selectable: CD, MIX (CD and Turntable), TT (Turntable)

Play and Pause
Each push of the Play/Pause-button switches between playback and pause. The Play/Pause-button
constantly glows green during playback and blinks in pause-mode.
Selecting a track
CDs: Turn the encoder to select a track.
MP3 CDs: Keep the Title/FX-Encoder pressed and turn it to select a file on the CD. Then release the
encoder and select the desired track by turning the encoder.
Use the Search-buttons to search the disc in the forward or reverse direction.
Playback speed
The speed of the CD is 33 RPM and cannot be changed via the Speed-selector on the front panel but only
via the pitch fader with active pitch function.
You can adjust the playback-speed between 8, 16 and 50 % with the Pitch Select-button. Use the Pitch
Bend-buttons to change playback speed temporarily by ± 16 %. Upon releasing the buttons, the player
returns to the previously set speed. Activate the CD Key Lock-function to retain the original key.
You can synchronise the CD player and another signal source while cueing with the headphones via the
mixing console.
Option 1 Pitch-Fader:
Put the CD player into playback-mode and cue with the headphones. Activate the Pitch-function via the Pitch
On-button. Press the Pitch Select-button to set the pitch range between ± 8 %, 16 % and 50%. Move the
Pitch fader into the desired position.
Option 2 Pitch Bend:
If the two signal sources only differ in the bass beat, you can synchornize via the Pitch Bend-buttons. Put the
CD player into playback-mode and cue with the headphones. Synchronise the bass beat via the left or right
Pitch Bend-button.
The display indicates the pitch range and the BPM.
