Switching from CD to MIX:
When switching the operating mode from CD to MIX, the unit retains the current speed of the CD. In MIX-
mode, the CD speed can only be changed via the Pitch Bend-buttons.
CD Scratch-function
This function matches the scratching with standard turntables. Put a vinyl record on the platter and press
Motor ON. The tonearm is not required. During play use your hand on the platter slip surface to increase or
decrease the tempo of the CD.
Braking
Stop the platter slip surface with your hand during play. The audio being played will stop corresponding to
the speed of the platter slip surface.
Spinning
Forcefully spin the platter slip surface faster than the platter slip surface speed during play.
Scratching
Press and stop the platter slip surface during play. Play stops. Turn the platter slip surface in the direction
and speed you want to play. Release your hand from the platter slip surface and play returns to its original
state.
CD Loop-Function
With this function, any section on a disc can be played repeatedly between A & B points with no break in
sound or limit in length.
The CD-player is in play-mode:
Press the A-button to set the starting point of the sequence. This button lights blue.
Press the B/Loop-button to set the end point of the sequence. This button lights blue.
Now, the CD-player repeats the sequence between the two points until you press the B/Loop-button to exit
the loop-function.
Press the Reloop-button to resume the sequence from point A again.
CD Cue-function
To set a cue-point, switch to pause-mode and press the CUE-button.
The CD-player is in play-mode (Back Cue):
Press the Cue-button and the CD-player returns to the position where the playback started and goes into
pause-mode. This function is only available within one track.
The CD-player is in play-mode (BOP):
Press the BOP-button and the CD-player returns to the position where the playback started and remains in
play-mode. This function is only available within one track.
The CD-player is in pause-mode (Cue Setting):
Press the Memory-button, to set the cue-point. The Memory-button flashes red.
Now, press Cue 1, Cue 2 or Cue 3 to memorize the cue-point. The respective button flashes red.
Playback can be started via these buttons when the player is in play-mode.
Note: If the Forward/Reverse-selector is in reverse position, the Cue-function is not applicable!
CD Cue Memory-function / Disc Identification
The CDV-500 features a disc identification system, which allows you to save one Cue-point per CD and to
recall or delete this point later. The Cue Memory-function is not applicable to MP3 CDs.
Saving a cue memory-point on CD:
Set a cue-point by switching to pause-mode and pressing the CUE-button. Then keep the MEMORY-button
pressed, until the Display indicates „Save" and the time. Now, the cue-point is stored on the CD and the
letters „CUE" flash on the Display. The cue point can be overwritten.
Identifiying and playing a cue memory-point:
When the device identifies a cue point on a CD, the letters „CUE" flash on the display. To load this point
switch to pause-mode and keep the PROG./ID-button pressed. The display indicates „LOAD". When the cue-
point is identified, the display indicates „CUE".
