yes
Use the universal wrench (23) delivered with the
chain saw for the following work:
Oregon
Put the saw on a stable surface and carry out the fol-
lowing steps to install the chain (1) and guide bar (2):
21 m/s
• Release the chain brake by pulling the hand guard
(3) in the direction of the arrow (see also Fig.3).
• Unscrew retaining nuts (16).
• Pull chain guard (17) slightly apart, pull out of its
0,9 kW
mounting (B) and remove.
• Turn the chain adjusting screw (C) to the left (coun-
-1
terclockwise) until the pin (D) is at the right stop.
-1
(see Fig.4)
• Put on the guide bar (2) (see Fig. 5).
0,23 l
• Lift the chain (1) over the sprocket (E). Using your
right hand, guide the chain into the top guide groove
(F) on the guide bar (2). Note that the cutting edges
along the top of the chain (1) must point in the direc-
tion of the arrow (see Fig. 6)!
• Pull the chain (1) around the sprocket nose (G) of
the guide bar (2) in the direction of the arrow (Fig.7).
• First, push the sprocket guard (17) into its fixture
(B), then push it over the retaining bolts (I) while lift-
ing the saw chain (1) over the chain catch (20). En-
sure that the pin (D) of the chain tensioner (C) en-
gages in the hole on the saw bar (fig. 8).
• Manually tighten the retaining nuts (16).
7.3 Tightening the saw chain Fig. 8/9
• By simultaneously firmly pushing in and turning
the sprocket guard quick tensioner (C, clockwise),
3 dB
screw in the sprocket guard (F) but do not tighten
it. (see circle)
• Lift the tip of the guide bar slightly and turn the
chain tensioner (C) clockwise until the chain (1) en-
gages in the guide groove on the underside of the
3 dB
guide bar (see circle).
• Push the sprocket guard quick tensioner (16) in
again and tighten clockwise with the universal
wrench (23).
7.4 Checking the chain tension Fig. 10
The tension of the chain (1) is correct if the chain (1)
rests against the bottom side of the guide bar and can
still be easily turned by hand.
While doing so the chain brake (3) must be released.
Check the chain tension frequently - new chains tend
to get longer during use!
When checking the chain tension the engine must be
switched off.
