Welcome
Thank you
and congratulations. You have decided to buy a
Loewe color TV with satellite receiver unit
(satellite tuner) and have thus met your
demanding requirements in terms of design,
advanced technology and ease of operation.
The satellite tuner will deliver the vast panoply
of programs to your living room, even those
from far-off countries, if you so wish.
Operation and programming of the satellite
programs is carried out using a remote-control
handset.
If your TV is fitted with the Loewe DVB decoder
(it is also retrofittable), you can receive both
programs which have been transmitted as
analog channels to date, and also digitally
broadcast, non-encrypted programs.
What satellites and programs you can receive
once the TV is installed depends primarily on
the configuration of your satellite antenna.
This TV set offers the following control options
for the satellite antenna:
• DiSEqC 1.0 for DiSEqC multi-switch
• 13 / 18 volt switching voltage
• 0 / 22 kHz switching frequency
• tone-burst switch
Please check with your dealer as to the
optimum configuration setup for you.
Possible unit configuration
• Satellite tuner to receive analog satellite
programs
• Twin-satellite tuner to receive analog
satellite programs
Advantage: you can watch one satellite
program and record from a different
satellite program at the same time using
your VCR or, if your set offers picture-in-
picture function, watch an additional
program.
• Twin-satellite tuner and DVB decoder for all
free-to-air digital satellite programs
Operating tips
The satellite programs are easy to store and
operate with the aid of the menus. If you need
information on operating the set, simply press
the "i" key to display the help texts which will
quickly enable you to understand the system.
Your TV set's index contains important
explanations of terms used in satellite
reception. Where it relates to the operation of
the TV set, you can often access a function
directly from the index.
Dear customer,
The range of programs available by satellite is
growing constantly so you should update the
programs stored in your TV set from time to
time. You can do this with the "automatic
program search" function.
Call up automatic search, via:
"TV menu – Settings – Stations – Automatic
search – Start search".
New programs that are found are automatically
added to the program preview.
Connect
Antennae
Connect your satellite antenna via the
"SAT A/D" aerial socket.
If your TV set is fitted with a twin-satellite
tuner, an aerial cable must be connected to
both satellite sockets, i.e. SAT A/D" and "SAT"
from the switchbox and the twin-LNC.
If there is only one satellite terminal available,
connect the cable to the "SAT A/D" socket. It is
not then possible to receive two satellite
programs simultaneously!
