11.1.2 Main cleaning

The main cleaning is an intensive cleaning procedure.
Responsibility
– Qualified staff
Cleaning interval
– At least once a year, or
– according to separate maintenance agreement
between AHT and customer.
Cleaning steps
Follow the cleaning instructions.
These instructions are available from qualified staff.
11.2 Maintenance, service, and
repairs
Only qualified staff may carry out maintenance, ser-
vice, and repair work, including the following functional
test.
In the event of questions relating to maintenance, con-
tact the maintenance service (see →Maintenance ser-
vices).
WARNING
Work on the electrical system and re-
frigerant circuit.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock. Flammable refrigerant can escape and
cause an explosive gas/air mixture. Fire haz-
ard due to sparking or overload.
▪ Only qualified staff may carry out work on
the electrical system and refrigerant circuit.
▪ Only qualified staff may replace the cooling
cassette.

Page 27, Chapter 2.5.
▪ Observe the electrical safety rules prior to
commencing work.
1. Disconnect the appliance.
2. Secure the appliance against reconnec-
tion.
▪ During the repair a qualified person, who
knows the local conditions, must be avail-
able as contact person for the qualified
staff.
▪ Only qualified staff may restart the appli-
ance and perform functional tests.
CAUTION
Sharp edges, rotating parts. Hot sur-
faces.
Risk of injury to hand and body. Risk of burns
in the event of skin contact.

▪ Maintenance, service, and repair work on
the appliance may only be carried out by
qualified staff.
▪ Use protective gloves.
▪ Do not touch hot surfaces, in particular
compressors, tubular heating elements, hot
gas lines, until they have cooled down.

11.2.1 Maintenance

Responsibility
– Qualified staff
Maintenance interval
– Once a year
– or according to separate maintenance agreement
between AHT and customer
Perform maintenance
Observe maintenance instructions and maintenance
logs. These are available from qualified staff.

11.2.2 Replacing lights

Responsibility
– Qualified staff
If a light fails, contact the maintenance service (see
→Maintenance services).
Lights used
– LED bars
WARNING
Work on the electrical system.
Contact with live parts may result in electric
shock.
▪ Only qualified staff may replace lights.
▪ Observe the electrical safety rules prior to
commencing work.
1. Disconnect the appliance.
2. Secure the appliance against reconnec-
tion.

11.2.3 What to do if ...

All appliances are carefully tested for performance and
safety at the AHT test centre.
Contact the maintenance service promptly (see
→Maintenance services) in the event of:
– a malfunction (see →Malfunctions during opera-
tion)
– loud noises or vibration
– failure of the control and display elements

Provide the following information:
– Appliance type
– 14-digit serial number of the appliance
– See rating plate →Rating plate and serial num-
ber
– Additional sticker on the appliance

– Type of malfunction
Make the defective appliance inaccessible to end cus-
tomers.
