Rear brake pedal adjustment (fig. 27)
To set the rear brake pedal, proceed as follows.
Loosen lock nut (1).
Turn pedal travel adjusting screw (2) until pedal is in the
desired position.
When finished, torque locknut (1) to 2.3 Nm.
Work pedal by hand to make sure it has 1.5 - 2 mm free

play before brake begins to bite.
If not so, set the length of cylinder linkage as follows.
Loosen the check nut (3) on cylinder linkage.
Tighten linkage into fork (4) to increase play, or unscrew
linkage to reduce it.
Torque locknut (3) to 7.5 Nm and check the play again.
It is also possible to fine-adjust the brake pedal (5) position
by using the slot (6) in the brackets.
Slacken off the pedal bolt and slide it inside the slot until it
reaches the desired position. Torque the bolt to 12 Nm.
