The background color of the LCD display (Figure
7, #1) confirms the selected range.
NB: The keyboard keys and the footswitch button
will be inactive if the device is emitting
ultrasound.
Fine adjustment
Within each ultrasound range, the user can fine-
tune the power.
In N function, the fine-tuning of the
EWTRON
ultrasound within the selected range is shown by
default on the LCD display (Figure 7, #1) (see
Section 5.2.d).
The indicator light (Figure 7, #3) being out
confirms that the LCD display is showing the
ultrasound power.
The fine-tuning includes 10 levels which can be
selected using the +/- keys of the N
on the keyboard (Figure 8, #6).
b) Modulating irrigation
In N function, the LCD display (Figure 7, #1)
EWTRON
shows the ultrasound level by default. The
screen's background color corresponds to the
range selected (green, yellow, blue or orange).
The indicator light (Figure 7, #3) being out
confirms that the LCD display is showing the
ultrasound power.
The user can nevertheless modulate the irrigation
flow rate using the +/- keys of the irrigation block
on the keyboard (Figure 8, #8).
The rate can be varied from 5-40 ml/min in steps
of 1 ml/min.
During adjustment, the LCD display (Figure 7, #1)
shows the current fluid flow rate.
The indicator light (Figure 7, #3) being on
confirms that the LCD display is showing the flow
rate.
Three seconds after the flow rate has been set,
the display switches back to the ultrasound level.
Irrigation is turned on by:
• Using the keyboard switch-key (Figure 8, #9)
• Using the footswitch switch-button (Figure 6,
#3)
If irrigation is On, the indicator light (Figure 7, #2)
lights up.
If irrigation is Off, the indicator light (Figure 7,
#2) goes out.
NB:
• the pump only turns on when ultrasound is being
emitted.
• the keyboard keys and the footswitch button
are inactive if the device is emitting ultrasound.
c) Turning the ultrasound on
The ultrasound is turned On or Off using the
block footswitch (Figure 6, #2). Every time the
EWTRON
footswitch is stepped on, the generator switches.
• If irrigation is On (and the indicator light Figure
7, #2) is lit up, the pump turns on at the same
time as the generator.
• If irrigation is not On (and the indicator light
Figure 7, #2) is out, the pump does not turn on
at the same time as the generator.
