Determine the correct chain length
without passing it through the rear
derailleur, positioning it on the lar-
gest sprocket and on the chainring.
If the pins are not perfectly aligned,
the length of the chain must be
increased until it crosses the right
hand pin of the next external link;
inasmuch, in the example in Fig
1.1, the correct length is obtained at
Fig.1
point A.
Starting from this point, add another
3 links (two inner and one outer) to
obtain the exact pin when the chain
can be shortened (point B Fig. 1.1).
