Certifi cation
The development of every paraglider model is considered a priority at
ADVANCE. From its initial creation, the certifi cation is considered an
essential part of one's log book.
The EPSILON 5 is certifi ed according to DHV 1-2 with the speed sys-
tem. You can download the certifi cation details at www.advance.ch.
Certifi cation results can only offer limited information regarding pa-
ragliders in both thermal and turbulent fl ight conditions. Certifi cati-
on results are primarily informative when extreme fl ying manoeuvres
are tested in excellent wind conditions. As a result, it is recommen-
ded that one's skills should not be overrated especially when faced
with complicated circumstances while fl ying.
For your safety:
Safety is a vital component of paragliding. It is crucial to invest the
time to learn the complex sport of paragliding properly in the begin-
ning stages. In fact, even experienced paragliders learn about the
sport on a daily basis. It is only possible to learn paragliding proper-
ly by attending a respectable school and using the appropriate equip-
ment. Do not overestimate your fl ying abilities and never fl y in con-
ditions, which exceed your fl ying abilities. It is best to abstain from
fl ights in which you may feel hesitant, for it is better to be on the
ground and wish that you were in the sky rather than the other way

around! Also, when choosing your wing, be sure to seek advice from
your fl ying instructor. Your paragliding instructor knows you and as a
result he/she will be able to best advise you regarding your wing.
