Safety
NOTICE
Risk of damage from improper installa-
tion of the appliance.
Insuffi cient air circulation may lead to
damage caused by overheating.
Never fi t the hob over an oven with-
■
out ventilation!
Risk due to improper operation!
Hob:
■
Wipe the hob and the base of the
–
pots prior to use, to wipe away any
dirt which may cause scratches.
Do not use any aluminium foil or
–
plastic containers to cook on the
cooking zones as they can melt.
Use the hob as a work surface or
–
somewhere to place objects only
once the cooking zone has com-
pletely cooled off. Materials which
are sensitive to heat such as plas-
tic dishes could become damaged
if this is the case.
Glass ceramic hob:
■
Immediately remove sugar or
–
starchy food particles and residues
of plastics or aluminium foil. Other-
wise, these may cause permanent
and irreparable damage to the hob.
Do not place hot pots or pans on
–
the sensor field. Otherwise the elec-
tronics underneath may be dam-
aged.
Do not push heavy pans across the
–
hob; this may scratch the glass ce-
ramic.
Even if small objects just make
–
slight contact with the hob, they
can damage the glass ceramic sur-
face. For example, do not allow salt
and pepper shakes to fall onto the
hob from cabinets above.
Oven
■
Do not place baking trays or alu-
–
minium foil directly on the bottom
of the cooking compartment. It
may cause heat to build up inside
and damage the oven's enamel.
If you wish to place dishes direct-
ly on the bottom of the cooking
compartment, the oven tempera-
ture must not exceed 50°C. Be care-
ful when handling cookware – the
enamel can be easily scratched.
When preserving food, place only
–
so many jars in the dripping pan
at the same time that they do not
touch. The jars can burst.
Cleaning: Do not use any harsh,
–
abrasive cleaners or sharp metal
scrapers to clean the glass on the
oven door, as they can scratch the
surface. This can destroy the glass.
When cleaning do not use steel
–
wool, oven sprays, steam cleaners
or high-pressure cleaners! They can
damage the surface and destroy
the glass. High-pressure cleaners
can cause a short circuit.
Do not clean oven rack guides in
–
the dishwasher.
The oven door is heavy and has a
–
glass front. Do not allow the door
to fall open when taking it off its
hinges!
If a trolley is used to move the appli-
■
ance, the appliance must be lifted as
shown on the packaging.
Do not use the oven door handle to
■
lift the entire cooker/oven! The han-
dle is not designed to carry the whole
weight of the appliance.
