Adjusting/changing the stop positions of the garage door
The process always includes adjustment of the upper and lower stop positions as well as a test run.
The position of the carriage when the door is fully open is designated as the upper stop position.
The position of the carriage when the door is fully closed is designated as the lower stop position.
The adjustment process must be conducted in the specified sequence and is complete when the opener
light goes out. Only then can the handheld transmitter be logged on.
Caution!
A rigid end stop must be fitted to restrict the door movement (upper stop position), otherwise the opener
will continue running during the adjustment process and may damage the door mechanism.
Note:
Press the programming button only gently (e.g. with a ball-point pen).
To interrupt the adjustment process, pull out the mains plug. After the mains plug has been re-inserted,
the adjustment process must be restarted.
The minimum distance between the upper and lower stop positions is 30 cm. A smaller distance cannot
be programmed.
1. Adjusting the upper stop position
•
Press programming button b for at least 2 seconds (ball-point pen) until the opener light goes out.
– Opener light comes on again.
– If the opener light flashes, the programming button was pressed too briefly. In this case pull out
and re-insert the mains plug. Restart adjustment of the stop position.
•
Briefly press the control button a (approx. 1 second).
– Garage door opener runs in the "door open" direction to the mechanical end stop and then back
by approx. 5 cm.
– This position can be corrected by pressing and holding down control button a until the required
position has been reached. Each time the button is pressed, the direction of movement
changes.
•
When the required stop position has been adjusted:
Press programming button b until the opener light goes out.
– Opener light comes on again.
The upper stop position has been saved.
2. Adjusting the lower stop position
•
Press and hold down control button a until the garage door has closed fully (mechanical stop).
– If required, the lower stop position can be changed via control button a, see above.
– To prevent damage to the door mechanism, adjust the lower stop position so that the door does
not press too forcefully against the mechanical stop.
•
Press programming button b until the opener light goes out.
– Opener light comes on again.
The lower stop position has been saved.
3. Conducting a test run
•
Briefly press control button a and wait until the garage door has opened fully.
•
Press control button a again and wait until the garage door has closed fully.
– The opener light goes out.
The adjustment process is complete.
If the test run was not successful, repeat the entire adjustment process.
The test run is not complete if it is interrupted. During the test run the garage door opener operates
at full force and automatically "learns" the required opening and closing forces. With each subsequent
movement the force is automatically re-adjusted (important e.g. in winter when the garage door runs
slightly more sluggishly).
