4. Activate the MAIN PROTECTION by digitising code 5 7 1
on the numerical buttons (4).
The menu does not display any indication of the digits
pressed so as to keep the code secret. Please note that the
protection status changes to ACTIVE to indicate that the TV
has stored the secret code.

With the protection activated, it is no longer possible to enter
the menus of the second Carousel. The INSTALLATION,
CONFIGURATION, SUMMARY menus can no longer be
selected, thus making modification to stored programmes and
TV configuration impossible.
E.g.. modification of the OSD language, of the protection
code, ...
In the SUMMARY menu (of the first Carousel) the pro-
grammes with set protection are marked with a MAGENTA
colour. In our example, programme 9 will be marked.
If programme 9 is selected, the screen will be dark with the
word "LOCKED" on it.
HOW TO DEACTIVATE THE MAIN PROTEC-
TION
1. Enter the OTHER FUNCTIONS menu by pressing MENU
button (8) four times or by pressing the BLUE coloured
button (13).
2. The screen displays the OTHER FUNCTIONS menu with
the red cursor on the word INPUT.

EMERGENCY PROCEDURE TO DEACTI-
VATE THE "MAIN PROTECTION" WHEN
CODE IN UNKNOWN
We recommend you keep this information in a secret place,
as it allows you to deactivate the MAIN PROTECTION even
without knowing the access code.
1. Enter the OTHER FUNCTIONS menu by pressing MENU
button (8) four times or by pressing the BLUE coloured
button (13).
2. The screen displays the OTHER FUNCTIONS menuwith
the red CURSOR on the word INPUT.
