Steering the machine

Lever steering: Operating the left steering lever moves the machine to the left, and
operating the right steering lever moves the machine to the right. The more the steering
lever is operated, the narrower the bend radius.
Handlebar steering: The machine is steered by exerting lateral force on the ends of the
handlebar. The greater the steering force, the narrower the bend radius.
The machine may suddenly trap the operator or third persons, cause them to fall over or
run them over.

Turning on the spot

When the machine is turned on the spot, one wheel moves forwards and the other moves
backwards at the same time.
Lever steering
With the machine at a standstill, pull a steering lever as far as it will go and slowly
disengage the travel drive rotary grip until the machine is turning on the spot.
Handlebar steering
With the machine at a standstill, turning on the spot takes place by means of lateral force
acting upon the left or right end of the handlebars.
• The machine may suddenly trap the operator or third persons, cause them to fall over or
run them over.

PTO shaft drive switching procedure

Switching on the PTO shaft drive
With machine stationary and no gear selected, engine running:
• Preselect the PTO shaft speed using the overshift protection.
• Move the PTO shaft switch lever to the required speed position.
• Engage the machine.
Switching off the PTO shaft drive
• Disengage the machine.
• Move the PTO shaft switch lever to the 0 position.
• Attachments may require different speeds.
• The switching procedure must only be carried out with the clutch disengaged.
• Switching problem; the PTO shaft lever cannot be moved from the 0 position to the
required PTO shaft speed. The reason for this is that the gearwheels are tooth-on-tooth.
In this case, briefly tap the "Clutch" switch. Repeat procedure until the switching
procedure can be carried out.
The machine may suddenly trap the operator or third persons, cause them to fall over, run
them over, crush or lacerate them.
• Before activating the PTO shaft drive, make sure that there is no-one in the danger zone.
