Combination, using tools as a system:
In combined use of this product with other
component parts, the danger of impeding their
safety through conflicting parts can arise.
Please make sure of the compatibility of the
parts. Combined employment requires for
personal safety (PPE) coupling only with other
CE-authorized components of tools to shield
against falls from great heights. Unforeseen
dangers can occur if equipment parts are
wrongly combined and do not suit each other, in
which case the safe functioning of a given part is
no longer guaranteed. Please heed the specific
instruction to heed included
operating instructions for each specific product.
Ropes:
Use only dynamic single ropes corresponding
to EN 892 with diameters of 8.0 to 11.0 mm.
For PURE RAPELLING, also static kernmantle
ropes corresponding to EN 1891 are
permissible. ATTENTION: ordinary commercial
rope diameters have permissible deviations
of +/- 0.2 mm. Rope diameter and other
characteristics of the rope change through
usage of the rope. The brake effectiveness is
influenced by rope diameter and outer rope
surface. Moisture, ice, wear-and-tear, dirt and
detritus, etc. can alter brake effectiveness as
far as utter ineffectiveness of the system.
Carabiner:
A flawlessly functioning AUSTRIALPIN FISH
is guaranteed only in combination with an
AUSTRIALPIN HMS-carabiner RONDO! Use
only this model with an autolock for sure-and-
safe closure, and the selfie-bar (wire stirrup
which encloses the rope-up loop and prevents
carabiner from turning).
Things to check during and following each
use of the tool:
Please make sure that the product has no
cracks or fractures, deformations or signs of
corrosion; and that all components are tightly
attached to each other. Check and verify the
correct brake function and rope issue before
use with the rope which will be used. Make sure
that all component parts are correctly attached/
connected with each other. Make certain that
the rope issue and positioning of the carabiner
are correct. Pay special attention that the
carabiner is locked perfectly. Make sure the
selfie-bar encloses the belay loop.
