1. Ensure that the machine is unplugged. Leave the appliance cool down completely.
2. Unscrew the steam wand tip and soak it in warm dishwater (approx. 10
minutes). In the meanwhile, remove any crusts of milk from the stainless steel
pipe of the steam wand via a soft, damp sponge and some warm dishwater.
Thereafter, wipe with clear water.
3. By holding the steam wand tip up to the light ensure that there are no obsta-
cles in the small opening of the steam wand tip. If the opening is clogged or
constricted, use the coarse needle of the cleaning tool for pushing the obstacle
out of the opening. Ensure that you do not prick yourself on the other, finer
needle of the cleaning tool.
4. Rinse the steam wand tip with clear water.
CAUTION
– Do not over-tighten the steam wand tip, to avoid damage to the
seal. However, for operation, the red sealing ring at the steam wand tip must be cove-
red completely. There may be no gap between the steam wand tip and the pipe.
5. Without violence, turn the steam wand tip back onto the pipe and gently fasten
the steam wand tip by hand.
NOTE
To reduce the risk of blockages, you should leave the steam wand immersed in a
vessel filled with clear water, while the steam wand is not in use. At least fill the
vessel with fresh water daily.
