does not work perfectly or is damaged, have it examined and repaired immediately at the service

· Do not place the device out in the rain. Do not use it in a damp or wet environment. Make sure that
the mains lead never gets damp or wet during operation.
· If you are working outside: When working outside, always use an approved and appropriately labelled
extension lead.
· Hold the device only by the insulated handles. Contact with a live wire can cause metal parts of
the device to become live and lead to electric shock.
· Do not work in areas where there may be hidden electricity cables or gas or water pipes. Use a
suitable detector or ask your local utility service providers. Contact with electricity cables can lead
to fire or electric shock. Damaging a gas pipe can lead to an explosion. Penetration of a water pipe
can lead to property damage or to electric shock.
To avoid danger of injury:
· Wear ear protectors and protective glasses. Please note that working on stone or metal can give rise
to hazardous dusts that can adversely affect your health – wear a breathing/dust mask.
· Hold the tool firmly with both hands at all times when working and always keep proper footing
and balance.
· Make sure that the mains lead does not present a trip hazard. It will help if you always work with
the mains lead leading away from the rear of the tool.
· Do not put the tool down before it has been switched off and has reached a standstill.
· Before you insert the mains plug into the socket, check that the tool is switched off.
· Prevent unintentional operation (for example following a power failure) by always leaving the ON/OFF
switch in the OFF position.
· The angle grinder must be used for dry grinding/cutting only.
· Never us the tool on materials containing asbestos or poisonous substances.
· For safety reasons this tool must always be used with the auxiliary handle
· The adjustable disc guard cover
discs.
· Use the vacuum dust extraction facility if your work generates high amounts of dust. Use suction
devices particularly approved for the purpose.
· Use permitted consumables and equipment only. Check that the speed given on the discs is greater
or equal to the rated speed of the angle grinder.
· Check the attached consumable or equipment before use. It must be properly attached and turn
freely. Test the operation of the tool for at least 30 seconds. If a disc is not round or vibrates, do not
use it.
· Only bring the angle grinder into contact with the workpiece after it has been switched on.
· Take note of the direction of rotation and always hold the angle grinder in such a way that the sparks
and grinding debris are thrown away from your body.
· Always bear in mind that sparks will be generated when working on metals. Make sure that nobody
is placed in any danger and that there are no inflammable materials in the area (risk of fire).
· Make sure that the dimensions of the disc are suitable for the angle grinder and that the disc is of
a type that fits properly on to the stub shaft end .
· Never use cutting discs for grinding.
