3 Transport, storage and
packaging
3.1 Transport inspection
Upon receipt check delivery for any damages
caused during transit and completeness.
Any damage must be reported immediately
upon receipt.
3.2 Storage
The thermostatic valve set must only be stored
under the following conditions:
– D o not store in open air, keep dry and free
from dust.
– D ot not expose to aggressive fluids or heat
sources.
– P rotect from direct sunlight and mechanical
agitation.
– Storage temperature: –20 °C up to +60 °C
– Max. relative humidity of air: 95 %
3.3 Packaging
Packaging material is to be disposed of in an
environmentally friendly manner.

DANGER
Suitable measures, e.g. safety valves,
have to be taken to ensure that the max.
operating pressures and max. and min.
operating temperatures are not exceeded
or undercut.
5 Function
5.1 Functional description
The Oventrop thermostatic radiator valve "AQ"
is a presettable thermostatic valve which also
maintains the differential pressure at a constant
value via the regulating cross-section of the
valve.
Even where high differential pressure variations
occur, for instance if sections of the system
are activated or inactivated, the flow rate is
kept at a constant level within the regulation
tolerances.
This way, the valve authority of the thermostatic
valve "AQ" amounts to 100 % (a = 1).
The max. flow rate can be set with the help of
the presetting key (illustr.2, pos.1) (see 6.2.2).
