Care and service
4. Replace the propeller (2).
5. Tighten the castle nut (4) (torque >50 Nm).
6. Secure the castle nut (4) against slipping, using a new securing cotter pin (5).
7. Attach the hub vortex vane (torque 6 Nm).

Replacing the galvanic anodes
The galvanic anodes are wearing parts which must be checked and replaced regular-
ly. They protect the motor from corrosion. It is not necessary to remove the propeller
to replace them. The anodes must be replaced as complete sets. To change the an-
odes, contact Torqeedo Service or an authorised service partner.

After use
CA UTI O N !
Danger of burns from hot surfaces or liquids.
Slight or moderate physical injuries may result.
Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
Do not touch the drive components or batteries of the DEEP BLUE system
immediately after use.
Allow the DEEP BLUE system to cool down before working in the immediate
vicinity.
1. After use, the motor must be removed from the water in order to ensure that the
cooling lines can be drained off. In this way, corrosion, wear, and blockage will
be avoided.
2. After operation in salt or brackish water, all components must be flushed using
fresh water. For this, do not use a high pressure cleaner, because the water pres-
sure can cause damage.
8.6.1
Long-term storage and winterizing
Store motor tilted fully upwards
If you wish to store the motor tilted fully upwards, then use the tilt lock (1). In addi-
tion, use the tilt lock (1) in the following situations:
When working on the motor
To relieve the electrical/hydraulic tilting mechanism
