3.7 Bluetooth USB adapter
The Bluetooth USB adapter included in the scope of
delivery provides a radio link with KTS 540 / 570. It is
plugged into the PC/laptop. Readiness for operation
is indicated by the flashing LED (see operating manual
1 689 989 277).

It is not possible to operate any other item of Blue-
tooth hardware installed or plugged into the PC/
laptop, as this would interfere with data communica-
tion between the KTS module and the control unit.
3.8 Microsoft Bluetooth driver

When the Microsoft Bluetooth driver is activated,
the Bluetooth manager symbol
in "white" and the Bluetooth device symbol
"green". The Bluetooth device symbol is not dis-
played if there is no Bluetooth radio link.

In the case of a PC/laptop without internal Bluetooth
hardware, the Bluetooth driver for the Bluetooth USB
adapter is installed automatically after the Bluetooth
always appears USB adapter is plugged in. The Bluetooth USB adapt-
in er supplied is not required for a PC/laptop (e.g. DCU
220) with internal Bluetooth hardware and the Blue-
tooth driver does not have to be installed. For a PC/
laptop with Bluetooth Class 2 it is advisable to make
use of the Bluetooth-USB adapter supplied (Class 1)
as this provides a better range.

When starting up the Bluetooth USB adapter, the
Bluetooth hardware integrated into the PC/laptop
(e.g. Widcomm Stack/Toshiba Stack) must be deac-
tivated (see the PC/laptop operating manual). In ad-
dition, the corresponding Bluetooth driver must be
uninstalled (remove Bluetooth driver under: "Start
>> Control panel >> Software").

WIN XP: If the Bluetooth USB adapter is to be
connected to different PCs/laptop USB ports, the
Bluetooth driver must be installed on each USB port.

With Win 7 and Win 8, the Bluetooth driver can be
selected in DDC: "Settings >> Advanced settings >>
Bluetooth driver". The recommended Bluetooth driv-
er has already been pre-selected, a different Blue-
tooth driver can be selected in the event of a fault.
