5.4 transmitter voltmeter/ battery alarm
Einschaltdisplay
After switching on the transmitter, the actual
voltage of the Tx battery will be shown in the
Display with an accuracy of 0.1 V. The Tx
battery voltage is 5.9 V in this example.
As soon as the battery voltage reaches 4.2
V, an acoustic warning sounds. Also the
message "LOW" appears in the display.
Driving must be halted immediately and the
batteries recharged. On safety grounds, you
should recharge the batteries when the level
reaches 4.5 V (dependent upon cell type).

receiver binding or pairing
Modellname
A unique code is sent from the transmitter for an unambiguous identi-
fication. Using 4.2 billion code permutations, a coding clash is virtually
impossible.
Servoumpolung Lenkung
The transmitter code is stored in the the receiver and is permanently
"paired" to the individual transmitter.
NOR: Normal
Regardless of any other transmitters which may log on to the ISM band
REV: Reverse
later, the receiver will only accept signals from the transmitter with this
special code.
This fixed pairing or allocation of the transmitter to the receiver creates
optimum conditions for even more efficient suppression of interference
than conventional systems, as only a digital filter can filter out the con-
trol pulses of the paired transmitter.

2
Place the transmitter and receiver close together (approx. 50cm or
closer)
3
Switch on receiver power supply.
Press the "Bind" button "SW" on the recei-

ver for 2 seconds.
The individual code number of the transmitter is automatically stored
in the receiver by pressing the "SW" button. With this "pairing" or "bin-
ding", the receiver now only responds to the signals of the linked trans-
mitter. This configuration effectively suppresses interference and the
influence of other transmitters. Several receivers can be "paired" to the
same transmitter.
If receivers are to be paired to another transmitter, the "SW" button
must be pressed again after switching on.

7. connecting the receiver system
Install the receiver and servos according to the following illustration.
Take note of the operating advice (chapter 9) before using for the first
time.
7.1 electric powered model
The illustration shows how to connect the receiver with the ESC
In BEC operation, the receiver system and servos are powered from
the Drive Battery Pack. A separate receiver battery is not necessary.
Turning on is made via the ESC switch or simply plugging in the Drive
Battery.
If a Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) without BEC is used, then you
must use the supplied switch harness to connect a separate receiver
battery. Due to the more reliable and safer connectivity, we recommend
that no single cells are used, instead use ready- made packs such as
the robbe receiver battery No. 4581 or No. 4582
cautiOn: never connect a Drive pack to the receiver as this is
not a Bec receiver.
7.2
glow powered model
See the illustration for the receiver connection for an i.c. powered
model. The receiver battery is connected via the switch harness to the
receiver. Due to the more reliable and safer connectivity, use ready-
made packs such as the robbe receiver battery pack No. 4581 or No.
