4 RESIDUAL RISKS

Even when the snow thrower is used
in accordance with the manufacturer's
instructions, there are still some risks
which could not be eliminated in the
design phase
Depending on the type and construc-
tion of the machine, there may be the
following potential risks:
a
Damage to hearing if suitable hearing
protection is not worn when using the
machine.
b
Damage to sight if suitable eye protection
is not worn when using the machine.
WARNING - The noise and vibration le-
vels shown in these instructions are the
maximum levels for use of the machine
Prolonged use, poor or total lack of
maintenance and the type of snow
(light or heavy) being cleared signifi-
cantly affect the level of noise emis-
sions and vibrations
Consequently, it is necessary to take
preventive steps to eliminate possible
damage due to high levels of noise and
stress from vibration Maintain the ma-
chine well, wear ear protection devices,
and take breaks while working
