ELECTRIC CONNECTIONS
Electric power supply 230V~50Hz.
The unit must be connected directly to an
electrical outlet or to a separate circuit.
• Install a device, master switch or electric
plug that allows disconnecting the appli-
ance's power supply.
To protect the unit against short circuits, fit an om-
nipolar magnet-circuit breaker 2A 250V (IG) to the
power supply line with a minimum contact opening
CONTROL PANELS
Some versions are equipped with an on-board
control panel, others can be combined with
accessories (see Compatibility Table).
If you use control panels supplied by third parties,
we recommend carefully checking the electrical
characteristics. Always refer to the relevant
documentation.
The control panels can be wall-mounted or
installed on board the unit according to the
versions.
CONNECTIONS TO THE ELECTRIC MOTORS
The electric connections to the 3 ventilation
speeds are indicated on the terminal board
fitted on the side of the fan coil.
Always refer to the wiring diagrams of the
UNIT WITH UPGRADED MOTOR
Some fan coils are equipped with 6- or
7-speed upgraded motor.
Electric connections, specified on the termi-
nal board on the side of the fan coil, indi-
cate 3 ventilation speeds.
The units come ready to run in standard
configuration with 3 preset speeds.
The speed connectors are positioned directly

distance of 3 mm.
We recommend using a B type residual current de-
vice.
The following measures must be considered
for installations with three-phase power
supply:
1. In the presence of 3P + N isolators or
magnet circuit breakers, the release current
must be at least 170% of the value absorbed
by the overall load of the fan coils for each
phase.
The neutral wire section must be sized con-

the value absorbed by the overall load of the
fan coils for each phase.
In order to avoid any danger due

out device, this appliance must not be pow-
ered with an external switching device, such
as a timer, or be connected to a circuit that is
regularly powered or disconnected from the
service.
it is mandatory to connect the

ATTENTION:
SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CONNECTION
CABLES
For the electric power supply, use integral
cables with suitable section for the load.
In wall-mounted installations the panel can be
fitted on a metal wall, unless it is permanently
connected to the earth plug.
In the case of coupling with remote control
panels comply with the relevant wiring
diagram. Before installing the control panel
carefully read the instructions, if necessary
proceed with the configuration of the panel.
Connect the valves and the probe to the ter-
minal board according to the positions speci-
fied in the wiring diagram
VMF System includes a complete range of
thermostats, control panels and components
appliance and of the control panel.
The connections between the electric motor
and the control panel must comply with the
wiring diagrams.
Some control panels may have speeds en-
on the motor, they can be accessed after
removing the filter and the frontal protec-
tions.
In 6-speed versions the speed connections
are directed towards the filter. If you want
to use a different speed set, move the
3-pole connector to the faston connectors
corresponding to the desired speed set (see
drawings).
• Completing the installation
- Connect the accessories.
- Remove the casing on the models that
provide it without forgetting, for the models
provided with it, to connect the ambient
probe which must protrude to the outside by
about 3mm from the probe holder and must
be firmly fixed with the relevant probe locker.
- Install the air filter.

- Power up the fan coil and check the opera-
Use H05V-K or N07V-K power cables with
300/500 V insulation enclosed inside a pipe
or trough. All the cables must be enclosed
inside a pipe or trough until they are inside
the fan coil. The cables at the outlet of the
pipe or cable trough must be positioned in
a way not to undergo traction or twisting
stress and be however, protected from
external agents.
Cables with strand can only be used with
crimped connectors. Make sure that the
strands are well inserted.
If the power supply cable is damaged, it must
be replaced with a new cable of adequate
section. Have the repair made by "Qualified
personnel", in order to prevent any risk.
Do not repair damaged cables
The wiring diagrams are subject to constant
updating and it is therefore, mandatory to
refer to those on the machine.
that if properly combined allow the control
of the single unit up to a complex network.
In the VMF system, the thermostats and the
control panels are separate components. The
thermostats can be fitted on the side of the
fan coils, the control panels, based on the
versions, can be installed on board the unit
or on the wall.
coded with different numbers with respect
to the motor, always and only refer to the
definitions: Minimum, Medium and Maxi-
mum speed.
In 7-speed versions the terminal board is
protected by a plastic cover fastened to the
motor with 2 screws. If you want to use a
different speed set, move the connectors to
the 3 clamps corresponding to the desired
speed set (see drawings).
It is recommended to configure the speeds
during installation.

tions.

allow you to check the proper operation
though the Autotest procedure, the function
is described in the manuals supplied with the
unit.
Run an operating and condensate drain sys-
tem seal test by pouring water in the tray.
