• Use the device only in dust-free conditions, otherwise treatment could be compromised.
• The device casing is not waterproof. Do not wash the device under running water or by immersion and keep it safe
from being sprayed by water or other liquids.
• Do not expose the device to particularly extreme temperatures.
• Keep the device away from sources of heat, direct sunlight or excessively warm locations.
• Never obstruct the air inlets positioned on both sides of the device.
• Always operate the device on an unencumbered hard surface.
• Always unplug the power cable immediately after use.
• The device is equipped with an easy to inspect safety fuse in case of malfunction. Before doing so, unplug the power
cable. Repairs may only be performed by authorised FLAEM personnel following the information in the restricted area
of the website www.flaem.it. Unauthorised repairs void the warranty and may pose a danger for the user.
WARNING: Do not modify this device without authorisation from the manufacturer.
• The Manufacturer, the Dealer and the Importer shall be held responsible for safety, reliability and performance only
if: a) the device is used in compliance with the instructions for use b) the wiring where the device is being used is in
compliance with safety regulations and current laws.
• The Manufacturer must be contacted about any problems and/or unexpected events concerning operation and if any
clarifications on use, maintenance or cleaning are needed.
• Should your device fail to provide the expected performance, contact the authorised Flaem service centre for clarifica-
tions.
• Ensure the connections and the canister lid have been carefully sealed in order to prevent loss of suction.
• Do not overturn the canister while connected to the operating device as the liquid may be aspirated into the device,
thus damaging the pump. Should this occur, immediately switch off the suction machine, then empty and clean the
canister (send it to an authorised FLAEM service centre).
• When the safety device (10) is triggered, suction is halted. Switch off the device, empty the canister (9) and carry out
the cleaning procedure.
• We recommend personal use of the accessories, the collection canisters and the connecting tubing to prevent risk of
contagious infection.
• The manual vacuum flow control (15) is a sterile disposable product and must be replaced after each use.
• Check the expiry date on the original package of the manual vacuum flow control (15) and ensure the sterile package
is undamaged. Should the package not be intact contact the authorised Flaem service centre or your trusted dealer.
FLAEM NUOVA disclaims any liability for harm to the patient related to deterioration of the aforementioned sterile
package due to third parties handling the original packaging of the entire device.
• The hydrophobic/antiviral and antibacterial filter supplied with Flaem aspirators must be strictly replaced for
each new patient, or if the said filter is saturated. Should the aspirator be used directly on the patient, the
filter for Single-patient use must be replaced within a maximum period of TWO MONTHS, or if the said filter is
saturated.
• The amount of time required between preservation conditions and use is approximately 2 hours.
