You can programme a countdown of up to 60 minutes with the timer q:
" button on the timer q to switch it on.
■ Press the "
■ Press the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired time in minutes.
■ Press the " " button to start the time countdown. The set time will fl ash
twice to show that the countdown is starting.
You will hear a few beeps on completion of the countdown.
The timer q will switch off automatically.
TIPS
The heating element 5 is NOT switched off when the countdown fi nishes!

Therefore, take note of the signal tone from the timer q to avoid spoiling
the food.
► When the battery is depleted, replace it. Always use batteries of the same
type. Ensure that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity.
1) When the food is ready, pull the handle upwards until the latch handle w
engages.
2) Leave the frying basket 3 in this position to drip off .
3) Press the On/Off switch 0. The deep fat fryer is now switched off . Remove
the power plug from the mains power socket.
4) When the food has dripped off , open the appliance lid by pressing the latch
handle 6.
WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!
Never touch the frying basket 3 directly after deep frying. It will be extremely

hot! Only lift the frying basket 3 out of the deep fat fryer using the handle!
5) Lift the frying basket 3 carefully out of the deep fat fryer. If necessary, shake
off excess oil or grease over the fryer.
6) Tip the fried food into a bowl or a sieve (lined with absorbent kitchen paper!).
