3.5 Alignment
When the MSL has been mounted and
electrically connected, the sender and
receiver must be aligned.
The beams from the sender and
receiver units must be at the same
diagram
height and must be aligned one on top
on
of the other. The red, yellow, and green
LEDs on the receiver can help in aligning
the beams. The sender and receiver
units must be pivoted along their vertical
and horizontal axis until the red LED
changes to the green LED.
In the mode "with restart inhibit": Pivot
the units until the red LED lights up and
the yellow LED flashes. The green LED
will light up when the RESTART button
is pressed. If the amber LED lights up,
the light received is too weak.
The respective device must be fixed at
the center point of the green range.
The alignment aid AR 60 should be used
in the case of deflection using mirrors
and with large operating ranges.
