Laser

The laser assembly makes the additional measurements
of the wheel (eccentricity and drift) and in the standard
program (peg weights) it measures the rim width.
To check its correct functioning proceed as follows.
Test of the laser assembly functionality:
1. Mount an iron wheel on the balancer;
2. Select the programme 1 (peg weights);
3. Measure with the internal feeler;
4. Run a cycle ;
5. When the cover is going down it is possible to ob-
serve that the laser is performing its stroke to meas-
ure the width of the tire and that when the measure-
ment is finished it is possible to hear the "beep" that
identifies correct acquisition of the data:
6. At the end of the cycle return to the programme se-
lection to control if the machine has performed the
measurements correctly;
7. If the measurement is not correct proceed with
gauges calibration, see calibration menu:
8. If it appears an error message open the rear cover
and check that the laser performs all its stroke
movement freely.
NOTES FOR THE ASSISTANCE
if it is necessary to operate on the laser, operate as fol-
lows:

If the laser performs its stroke but it does not ap-
pear any measurement check the direct connection
see drawing below or replace the optical assembly.

If the laser remains blocked in its rest position re-
place the entire measuring assembly.

Board replacement

In the event that a board replacement is necessary pro-
ceed as follows (cod. 654402) activate the board and
carry on the different calibration operations, see dedi-
cated chapters.

Board setting

The board is set up during installation, and requires an
activation code that determines the main details.
Notes for technical support
Every time that a new board is installed or that the soft-
ware is manually updated, on the first start the machine
requires the activation code.
Machine code
At start-up of every new "neutral" board a code is
asked in order to allow identification of the balancer
model where the board will be installed and load the
settings/parameters relative to that machine.
To each machine model a code is assigned which is
inside the packaging of the spare part or that can be
requested to the technical assistance.
To insert the code press the ARROW keys to increment
the numbers and the F2 key to pass to the next field.
