6.0 FAULTS, CAUSES AND REMEDIES (Side view - page 21)

CAUTION! DISCONNECT ELECTRIC POWER BEFORE REMOVING THE PROTECTIVE GUARDS. TAKE THE
UTMOST CARE WHEN HANDLING THE KNIVES.
The uncapping machine does not work
1)
Check that the emergency button (Q – fig.7) is not engaged. Release it, if necessary.
2)
Check that the main switch (L – fig.7) is set to 'work cycle'.
The chain (22 – page 21) does not move with the frame loaded onto it
1)
Check that the emergency button (Q – fig.7) is not engaged. Release it, if necessary.

Check that the main switch (L – fig.7) is set to 'work cycle'.
3)
Disconnect electric power and check for proper wiring.
4)
The clutch slips. Adjust pressure as necessary (see section 3.3 – page 16)
The chain does not stop at the end of the work cycle
1)
Check for proper operation of the microswitch (16 – page 21).
2)
Check that the spring-operated microswitch lever returns to its position.
The knives (21 – page 21) tear up the wax
1)
The knives are cold. Check for continuity of the electrical heating system and status of thermostat,
probe, heating elements.
2)
The frames are too cold (maybe because of the period of the year). Leave the frames inside a warm
cabinet for a while.
3)
The knives do not move. Check the bushings, the engine's proper operation, correct adjustment of
knives
The frame tends to move upward

The pressure roller is not correctly adjusted. See section 3.4 page 17.
The knives cannot swing
1)
The assembly is broken down. Check for correct movement under the top guard (7-8-10 – page 21)
2)
The knives shafts are jammed at their base (lower bushings). Remove any residue, then wash the shafts
and lubricate the bushings.
The frame tends to get stuck against the knives
1)
The frame guides are not aligned correctly. See section 3.1 page 15.
The frame deforms into a rhomboid shape
1)
The pressure roller is not correctly adjusted. See section 3.4 page 17.
The pressure roller spring is too tight. Lower the spring pressure.
