at a time, during procedure 7.1 - "Memorising devices". This procedure assigns
each device a unique address which is used to identify the data intended for it alone
when the automation is operating. This enables the automation to detect any system
malfunctions with great certainty. Whenever a device is added to or removed from
the "BlueBUS" network, a new recognition cycle must be run; see procedure 7.1 -
"Memorising devices".
6.2.2 - Photocells
Select from fig. 9 the position in which the photocell's TX and RX units are to be
installed. Now select he detection function assigned to the photocell, from the list
given in table C. Finally, fit the jumpers to the TX and RX units as shown in Table
C. caution! – Make sure no other pairs of photocells are configured with the same
function (and hence with the same jumper settings). Note – The jumper setting allows
the controller to uniquely identify the pairs of photocells connected to the BlueBUS
and operate them with their assigned function. Caution! – After having installed a
new pair of photocells or removed an existing pair, the recognition cycle described in
procedure 7.1 - "Memorising devices" must be run anew.
6.2.3 - Photosensor FT210B
Photosensor FT210B combines in a single device a force limitation system (type C
per EN12453) and a presence detector that detects obstacles on the optical axis
between the transmitter TX and receiver RX (type D per EN12453). On photosensor
FT210B the signals of the sensitive edge status are sent via the photocell beam,
integrating the 2 systems in a single device. The transmitter is located on the door
and is battery powered.
A single FT210B device combined with a sensitive edge (e.g. TCB65) enables the
safety level of the "main edge" as required by EN12453 for any "type of use" and
"type of activation". Photosensor FT210B combined with "resistive" sensitive edges
(8.2 kohm), is safe with single faults (class 3 per EN 954-1). It is equipped with a
special anti-collision circuit to prevent interference with other detectors, even not
synchronised, and enables the addition of other photocells; for example in the case of
transit of heavy vehicles where a second photocell is normally positioned at 1 m from
the ground. For further information on connection methods and address assignment,
see the instruction manual for FT210B.
6.2.4 - STOP input
The Stop input causes the immediate stoppage of the manoeuvre, followed by a brief

inversion of the movement. The following devices may be connected to this input: NO
contact, NC contact, 8.2 kohm constant resistance output, and "Opto Sensor" (OSE)
devices such as sensitive edges.
During the recognition cycle (7.1 - "Memorising devices") the controller recognises the
type of device connected to the Stop input and thereafter stops the door's movement
when the input's status changes.
To connect an OSE device, refer to fig. 10. Multiple devices, even of different types,
can be connected to the STOP input if suitable arrangements are made:
• any number of NO devices can be connected in parallel;
• any number of NC devices can be connected in series;
• NO and NC devices can be combined by hooking up the two contacts in parallel,
with a 8.2 kohm resistor connected in series with the NC contact. This makes it
possible to hookup three types of device: NO, NC and 8.2 kohm.
CAUTION! If the STOP input is used to connect devices with safety functions,

only devices with the constant resistance 8.2 kohm output or OPTO SENSOR
optical devices guarantee safety class 3 against faults per EN 954-1.
6.2.5 - 24 V devices
To power 24 V external equipment (e.g., a proximity scanner for transponder cards
or the keyswitch light) refer to fig. 11. The power supply voltage is 24V DC -30% /
+50% with a maximum available current of 100mA.

BASIC MEMORISATION
7.1 - Memorising devices
Once all devices have been installed, power up the controller. On power on, leds L1
and L2 flash to indicate that the recognition procedure must be run to enable the
controller to memorise the type and status of each device connected to the BlueBUS
and STOP inputs. Caution! – the procedure must be run even if no devices are con-
nected. Proceed as follows:
01. Hold down [▲] and [Set] together.
02. Release the keys when leds L1 and L2 start to flash quickly (after around 3s).
03. Wait a few seconds until the control unit has completed the device recognition
procedure. At the end of the recognition process, the STOP led must remain lit,
while leds L1 and L2 turn off (where relevant leds L3 and L4 start flashing).
This procedure can be run at any time. In particular, it must be done whenever any
new devices are added.
7.2 - Memorising travel limit positions
After device recognition, the controller must memorise the Up limit ("0" = fully open)
and Down limit ("1" = fully closed) of the roll-up door (see fig. 12). Thus, when the
door is operated, the system stops it automatically when it reaches the set limit posi-
tion. Other positions can be memorised using the Oview programmer. If the limit posi-
tions have not been memorised, controller leds L3 and L4 flash. Proceed as follows.
