3.4 Decommissioning
3.4.1 Secretion aspirator Allegra M30 with reusable secretion canister
Health risks due to the handling of infectious or
pathogenic germs
Infectious and pathogenic germs in the aspirate cause health risks.
•
Replace the bacterial filter at least every 6 month or as needed
when used exclusively for one patient!
•
Wear suitable disposable gloves by the decommissioning.
•
The reuse of bacterial filters for multiple patients is prohibited for
hygiene and safety reasons!
•
For each new patient, processing by
Löwenstein Medical GmbH & Co. KG or by an authorized service
partner of Löwenstein Medical GmbH & Co. KG is strictly required!
•
After each aspiration, all components that have come into contact
with the aspirate must be cleaned, disinfected or disposed of.
•
The aspirate and the parts contaminated with aspirate must be
disposed of properly.
1. Switch off the device after the aspiration by holding the on/off button
(fig. 21(F)) pressed for 1-2 seconds.
2. Disconnect the power supply unit from the mains supply (100 V to 240 V
AC) if attached and remove the device plug from the aspiration device
afterwards.
3. Remove the suction tube (fig. 1,1 (G)) from the aspiration catheter and
from the secretion canister.
4. Clean or dispose of the suction tube properly (see section 4.1.7 resp. 4.2.7).
5. Remove the reusable secretion canister from the device by pressing the
unlocking mechanism on the secretion canister lid and pivoting the secretion
canister out of the device afterwards.
