In heat storage/radiation systems, part of the heat pro-
duced by combustion is stored in the surround and then

used for heating the room through radiation.
Stored heat can also be released in the room by convec-
tion, through the aluminium duct and out through the hot-
air vents. Systems designed for heat storage only do not
have the duct and hot-air outlets.
