Before first Use
Remove the delta sander and all accessories out of the packaging and check all
parts for damage in transit. Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.
There is risk of suffocation!
The delta sander may only be used for dry sanding work and polishing. The
machine is suitable for working on wood, metal, plaster, plastic and filler surfaces.
It can also be used for removing rust, old paint and intermediate sanding.
Starting Up
Choose the sanding pad according to the material being worked. Use sanding
pad with a 40 resp. 60 grain for rough sanding and on uneven surfaces. Use the
finer grain of 120 for smoother finish.
1. Attach the sanding pad on the sanding plate and make sure the openings of
the sanding pad fit with the suction openings of the plate and firmly press the
sanding pad down.
2. First, insert the extractor nozzle into the dust extractor connection and
connect the hose of the vacuum cleaner with the nozzle.
3. Turn the speed control to the lowest level 1 and insert the power cord into a
wall socket.
4. Push the ON/OFF switch in direction I.
5. Hold the machine firmly with your hand when using and whenever possible,
move the machine in a steady motion parallel to the surface. By doing so, you
will avoid grooves or hollows on the surface.
If necessary, turn the speed control to higher speed. The speed control wheel
can be continuously adjusted from 1 to 5 and finally up to the highest setting
MAX.
Do not use additional pressure on the machine while working. The machine's
own weight develops sufficient pressure for sanding. Additional pressure does
not increase the sanding rate and excessive pressure will overheat the ma-
chine.
