Getting Started
Safety Tips
Please read and retain these instructions for future reference.
➤ When punching, always ensure the machine is on a flat, stable
surface.
➤ Always test the machine with scrap paper before punching the final
document.
1.
Unpacking and Setting Up
•
Your machine is ready to use when removed from the box. Retain the
packaging in case you need to return the machine for repair.
•
Position the machine on a flat stable surface.
•
Lift the handle to the vertical position.
2.
Selecting the Correct Plastic Comb
•
Select the appropriate comb to suit the document size:

9.5mm
12.5mm

The separate comb opening mechanism allows you to collate documents
on the comb whilst punching more pages. Giving you a quicker binding
cycle.

➤ When punching PVC/PP covers, we recommend the cover be
punched with some paper either side.
➤ Do not punch metallic objects such as staples or paper clips.
➤ Empty the waste tray regularly.
3.
Inserting and Opening the Comb
Close the 'comb operating mechanism' by turning the 'comb
•
operating knob' clockwise.
Place the plastic comb open side up on the comb opening
•
mechanism. [Fig. 1]
Open the comb by turning the 'comb operating knob' anti-clockwise.

4.
Paper Edge Alignment
•
Rotate the green knurled wheel to move the edge guide to the
required setting of A4, US letter or Cover. [Fig. 2]
5.
Punching the Document
•
Insert the sheets into the punching channel and align to the edge
guide and the rear of the channel. [Fig. 3]
•
Support the machine and lower the raised handle to punch. [Fig. 4]
