Place a storage medium into the card slot

Insert the CD or switch on the external audio device (as required).

Set the required operating mode (CD PLAY, Radio, AUX) using the
MD/LD button

If necessary, start playback of the external audio device.

Hold the SCAN/REC button
In the CD PLAY operating mode, MMC ALL or USB ALL will be displayed.
If there is no data medium connected onto which recordings can be made,
NO MEDIA will be displayed.

Press the SCAN/REC button repeatedly until the desired recording option
is displayed. When recording an audio CD, you can also select whether
you want to record all tracks from the CD (USB/MMC ALL) or only the current
track (USB/MMC ONE).

Start recording by pressing the BND/ENT button
The audio data is now saved on the data medium in the selected format (MP3 or
WMA). The preceding fl ashing "R" indicates that a recording is being made.
NOTE
►
If the selected data medium is full, recording is automatically switched
to the other data medium (inasmuch as a corresponding data medium is
connected).

To stop the recording, press the BD/ENT button briefl y once more.
