Der Multiplexer und das Netzgerät sind nur zur

Verwendung im Innenbereich geeignet. Schützen

Sie die Geräte vor Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher
Luftfeuchtigkeit und Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztem-
peraturbereich 0 – 35 °C).
Die in den Geräten entstehende Wärme muss
durch Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden. Darum
dürfen die Lüftungsschlitze an den Gehäusen
nicht abgedeckt werden.
Stecken Sie nichts durch die Lüftungsschlitze des
Multiplexers! Dies kann zu einem Defekt des
Gerätes führen.
Nehmen Sie den Multiplexer nicht in Betrieb bzw.
ziehen Sie den Netzstecker des Netzgerätes so-
fort aus der Steckdose, wenn:
1. sichtbare Schäden am Netzgerät, an dessen
Netzleitung oder am Multiplexer vorhanden
sind,
2. nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem der Verdacht
auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Lassen Sie die Geräte in jedem Fall in einer Fach-
werkstatt reparieren.
Eine beschädigte Netzleitung des Netzgerätes
darf nur durch den Hersteller oder durch eine au-
torisierte Fachwerkstatt ersetzt werden.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker des Netzgerätes nie
an der Zuleitung aus der Steckdose, fassen Sie
immer am Stecker an.
Werden Multiplexer oder Netzgerät zweckent-
fremdet, nicht richtig angeschlossen, falsch be-
dient oder nicht fachgerecht repariert, kann für
eventuelle Schäden keine Haftung übernommen
werden.
Verwenden Sie zum Reinigen nur ein trockenes,
weiches Tuch, niemals Chemikalien oder Wasser.
Sollen der Multiplexer und das Netzgerät endgül-
tig aus dem Betrieb genommen werden, überge-
ben Sie die Geräte zur umweltgerechten Entsor-
gung einem örtlichen Recyclingbetrieb.
Do not set the multiplexer into operation, and im-

mediately disconnect the mains plug of the power
supply unit from the mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the power supply
unit, to its mains cable, or to the multiplexer,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or
similar accident,
3. there are malfunctions.
The units must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.
A damaged mains cable of the power supply unit
must only be replaced by the manufacturer or by
authorized, skilled personnel.
Never pull the mains cable of the power supply
unit for disconnecting the mains plug from the
socket; always seize the plug.
If the multiplexer or power supply unit are used for
purposes other than originally intended, if they are
not connected or operated correctly, or not re-
paired in an expert way, there is no liability for pos-
sible damage.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no
means chemicals or water.
If the multiplexer or the power supply unit are to be
put out of operation definitively, take them to a
local recycling plant for a disposal which is not
harmful to the environment.
Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in the mains lead of the power supply unit
are coloured in accordance with the following code:
blue = neutral; brown = live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this
appliance may not correspond with the coloured
markings identifying the terminals in your plug,
proceed as follows:
1. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal in the plug which is
marked with the letter N or coloured black.
2. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.

Anwendungsmöglichkeiten
Der Video-Farbmultiplexer TVMP-1600COL ist für
den Einsatz in Überwachungs- und Alarmanlagen
konzipiert. Das Gerät ermöglicht bei Mehrkamera-
Systemen, die verschiedenen Bilder der ange-
schlossenen Farb- oder Schwarzweiß-Kameras im
Zeit-Multiplex-Betrieb auf nur einem Videorecorder
aufzuzeichnen, d. h. alle Kamerabilder werden als
Einzelbilder abwechselnd mit zugefügter Codierung
auf den Ausgang zum Videorecorder (VCR OUT)
geschaltet. Dabei lässt sich die Bildrate durch ein
einstellbares Zeitschema oder durch ein von vielen
Langzeit-Videorecordern bereitgestelltes Synchro-
nisationssignal steuern. Bei der Wiedergabe wird
das Signalgemisch der Aufzeichnung vom Multiple-
xer wieder decodiert. Somit ist es möglich, jedes
einzelne aufgezeichnete Kamerabild anzuwählen
und auf dem Monitor darzustellen. Es lassen sich
bis zu 16 Kameras anschließen.
Neben der Videoaufzeichnung ist gleichzeitig
eine Live-Überwachung möglich. Dazu lassen sich
die Kamerabilder auf verschiedenste Weise auf dem
Hauptmonitor abbilden (Vollbild-Format, Bild im Bild,
Mehrfachbilder, automatische Bildweiterschaltung in
zwei unabhängig programmierbaren Sequenzen).
Wahlweise lassen sich Datum und Uhrzeit (mit ein-
stellbarer automatischer Sommerzeitumschaltung),
Kameratitel,
Sequenzanzeige,
und Alarminformationen in das Bild einblenden. Auf
einem Nebenmonitor (Spot-Monitor) kann gleichzei-
tig eine beliebige Kamera im Vollbild-Format oder
können mehrere Kameras mit automatischer Wei-
terschaltung betrachtet werden.
Der TVMP-1600COL verfügt über eine Vielzahl von
Alarmfunktionen:
- externe Alarmauslösung über 16 Alarmein-
gänge; Aktivierung und Alarmkontakttyp einzeln
wählbar
- Alarmauslösung bei Ausfall einer Kamera oder
Leitungsunterbrechung
- Alarmauslösung durch einen vielfältig konfigu-
rierbaren integrierten Bewegungsmelder

Applications
The video colour multiplexer TVMP-1600COL is de-
signed for the use in surveillance and alarm systems.
The unit enables in case of multiple camera systems
to record the different pictures of the connected
colour cameras or black-and-white cameras in the
time multiplex operation on one video recorder only,
i. e. all camera pictures are switched as individual
pictures alternately with added coding to the output
to the video recorder (VCR OUT). The picture rate
can be controlled by an adjustable time scheme or
by a synchronization signal provided by many time-
lapse video recorders. During reproduction the
mixed signal of the recording is decoded again by
the multiplexer. Thus, it is possible to select each in-
dividual recorded camera picture and to display it on
the monitor. Up to 16 cameras can be connected.
In addition to the video recording a live surveil-
lance is possible at the same time. For this purpose
the camera pictures can be represented on the main
monitor in the most different ways (full screen format,
picture in the picture, multiple pictures, automatic
picture sequence in two sequences to be program-
med independent of each other). Optionally it is pos-
sible to insert date and time into the picture (with ad-
justable automatic summer time switching), camera
title, sequence indication, still picture indication, and
alarm information. It is possible to view on an auxil-
iary monitor (spot monitor) simultaneously any de-
sired camera in full screen format or several cam-
eras with automatic sequential switching.
The TVMP-1600COL provides a great number of
alarm functions:
- external alarm triggering via 16 alarm inputs; ac-
tivating and alarm contact type can be selected
individually
- alarm triggering in case of failure of a camera or
line interruption
- alarm triggering by an integrated motion detector
to be configured in many ways
- alarm modes to be time-controlled via two inde-
pendent timer units with weekday selection
- Alarm-Modi zeitsteuerbar über zwei unabhän-

- Alarmhaltezeit, Alarmdarstellung und Alarmaus-

Gerät aufstellen
Das Gerät kann als freistehendes Tischgerät aufge-
stellt oder in ein Rack (482 mm/19") eingebaut wer-
den. Bei Rackeinbau die beiliegenden Montagewin-
kel anschrauben (siehe Abb. 3). Im Rack wird eine
Höheneinheit (= 44,45 mm) benötigt.

Gerät anschließen
5.1
Kameras
Bis zu 16 Kameras können an die Eingangsbuchsen
Standbildanzeige
CAM1 bis CAM16 IN (16) angeschlossen werden.
Soll ein Kamerabild noch auf einer weiteren Video-
anlage ausgewertet werden, kann dieses am jeweils
darunter gelegenen Durchschleifausgang CAM1 bis
CAM16 OUT (21) abgenommen und weitergeleitet
werden. Die Impedanzanpassung erfolgt dabei au-
tomatisch.
5.2
Monitor
Den Hauptmonitor an die BNC-Buchse MAIN (18),
bei vorhandenem S-Video-Eingang an die Hosiden-
buchse MAIN OUT (26) anschließen. Wird ein wei-
terer Monitor zur gleichzeitigen Vollbildansicht ein-
zelner Kameras benötigt, diesen an die Buchse
SPOT (23) anschließen.

Setting up the Unit
The unit can be placed as table top unit or installed
into a rack (482 mm/19"). For rack installation,
screw on the supplied mounting brackets (see
fig. 3); one rack space (= 44.45 mm) is required.

Connecting the Unit
5.1
Cameras
Up to 16 cameras can be connected to the input
jacks CAM1 to CAM16 IN (16). For evaluating a cam-
era picture additionally on another video system, it
can be picked up at the respective feed-through out-
put CAM1 to CAM16 OUT (21) placed below and
passed on. The impedance is automatically matched.
5.2
Monitor
Connect the main monitor to the BNC jack MAIN
(18), if an S-Video input is available, to the Hosiden
jack MAIN OUT (26). If another monitor is necessary
for simultaneous full screen representation of indi-
vidual cameras, connect it to the jack SPOT (23).
5.3
Video recorder
For recording the camera pictures in the time-multi-
plex technique, connect the video input of the video
recorder to the BNC jack VCR OUT (22), if an
S-Video input is available, to the Hosiden jack VCR
