Insert the cassette.

Set TIMER to ON.
The VCR turns off automatically, and enters the
timer recording standby mode. The
appears in the display window.
When no cassette is inserted, the
flashes and a beep sounds.
When the input signal from the EXT TIMER terminal
becomes low, recording starts and the E indicator
appears in the display window.
When the input signal from the EXT TIMER terminal
becomes high, recording stops and the VCR enters the
timer recording standby mode.

Press MENU until the TIMER SET display
appears on the screen.
Press SHIFT z or $ to move the flashing to the
position where you want to change.
Press REC/PLAY SPEED +/– to change the
setting.
Press SEARCH to return to the normal display.
Press MENU until the TIMER SET display
appears on the screen.
Press SHIFT $ to move the flashing to the position
where you want to cancel.
Press SHIFT z to move the flashing to the timer
execution.
Press REC/PLAY SPEED +/– to set the timer
execution to N.
Press SEARCH to return to the normal display.
Press MENU until the TIMER SET display
appears on the screen.
Press MENU RESET.
All timer settings are cleared.
Press SEARCH to return to the normal display.
