8. Disposal

Once the product becomes unusable, dispose of it in accordance with the relevant
statutory regulations.

9. Rectifying faults

By purchasing the ATX 300W switched-mode power supply unit you have acquired a
product that has been designed to the state of the art and is operationally reliable.
However, problems and faults can occur.
Therefore at this point we would like to explain to you how you can rectify possible
faults.
Always comply with the safety instructions.
Problem
Possible solutions
Device not functioning
Is it switched on?
Is the mains power cable plugged in correctly on both
sides?
Is the mains power socket-outlet working properly?
Are all device connections inside the computer cor-
rect? If, for example, the hard disk cable was twisted
when plugged in, the computer would not be able to
start due to a short circuit and the power supply unit
will not start up.
When a new PC has been assembled, the motherboard
often will not start, if the rotational speed of the CPU
fan is too slow (e.g. CPU fan with a low rotational speed
to reduce the noise).
Computer does not
When the power supply unit is switched on (using the
start up when the power
mains power switch on the back of the ATX power sup
supply unit is switched
onply unit) stand-by voltage only is present at the
motherboard.i
The ATX power supply unit does not switch on until the
power button on the front of the PC housing has been
pressed briefly (if the power button is connected to the
appropriate port on the motherboard).

10. Technical data

• Operates on the 230V/50Hz AC voltage network
• Output voltages and output currents (refer to the data on the power supply unit)
+3.3V = max. 28A
max.180W!! max.276W!!
+5V = max. 30A
+12V = max. 15A
-5V
= max. 0.5A
-12
= max. 1A
+5V = (Standby) max. 2A
Always take note of the above limits for the individual operating
voltages. It is impossible to make full use of all maximum current
values simultaneously.
The combined outputs in the +3.3V- and +5V ranges must not
exceed 180W.
• Voltage connections: (The number of connections may be different on later ver-
sions of the power supply unit).
- 6 x 5.25"
- 3 x 3.5"
- 1 x ATX (for the motherboard)
- 1 x 6-pin BAT connection (for special motherboards)
- 1 x ATX2.0 12V connector (e.g. for Pentium IV motherboards)
• Mains power switch on rear of device

11. Connector pin assignment

a) ATX connector
The colours of the individual wires (e.g. PS ON and Power OK) may be different.
Max.300W!!
