c) Charging the battery via the power unit
The USB connection cable and the supplied power unit with USB connection enables this prod-
uct to be charged from a normal mains socket.
As soon as the product is connected to the mains power via the power pack, it
will start recording. Switch off the product again (see 'Switching the product on
and off') to continue charging.
Proceed as follows:
• Insert the narrow side of the USB connection cable into the mini USB port (5).
• Insert the wide side of the USB connection cable into the slot on the power unit with USB
connection.
• Plug the mains adapter into a suitable mains socket.
The status LED on the power unit will light up, indicating that a mains power supply is connected.
The status LED (9) on the product starts to fl ash red. This indicates that your product is being
charged.
d) Switching the product on and off
For switching on, proceed as follows:
Press the 'POW/REC' key (13) for 2 seconds.
The status LED (10) lights up red. This indicates
that your product is switched on and is in 'stand-
by' mode.
The product switches off automatically if recording or a function is not started
within one minute.
For switching off, proceed as follows:
Press the 'POW/REC' key (13) for 2 seconds.
The status LED (10) stops fl ashing red. This indicates that your product is switched off.
