e) Mounting the Elevator Unit

First screw the left elevator off of the elevator unit dampening surface (also see
figure 10). The screws are at the bottom of the unit.
Push the dampening surface into the prepared fuselage cut-out from the right and
align the fuselage.
The two distances "B" must have the same length. From the rear, the distance of
the tail unit ends to the wings must be the same as well.
Transfer the fuselage contour to the elevator unit (1) with a foil pen.
Remove the elevator unit from the fuselage and remove the iron-on foil from the
area of the adhesive point (2). Use a soldering gun for this and leave an edge of
2 – 3 mm to later protrude into the glue area.
Push the elevator unit back into the fuselage and lift it up on the left. Now you can
apply 2-component epoxy glue to the gap resulting on the bottom of the tail unit
and spread it over the entire glue area with a thin plastic strip.
Align the tail unit again according to figure 9 and fasten the components with pins
(1) until the glue cures.
The top of the tail unit is later glued to the top of the fuselage (2) (see figure 14).
After hardening epoxy glue, the elevator is screwed on again.
