Electrical safety

Design of the connection cable according to IEC 60 245 (H 07 RN-F) with
a core cross-section of at least
− 1.5 mm² for cable lengths up to 25 m
− 2.5 mm² for cable lengths over 25m
Long and thin connection lines result in a potential drop. The motor does
not reach any longer its maximal power; the function of the device is
reduced.
Plugs and coupler outlets on connection cables must be made of rubber,
plasticised PVC or other thermoplastic material of same mechanical
stability or be covered with this material.
Protect yourself against an electric shock. Avoid touching earthed parts
with your body.
The connector of the connection cable must be splash-proof.
Wind off completely the cable when using a cable drum.
Do not use the cable for purposes for which it is not meant. Protect the
cable against heat, oil and sharp edges. Do not use the cable to pull the
plug from the socket.
Regularly check the saw cable and if damaged, have it renewed by a
recognised skilled electrician.
When running the connection line observe that it does not interfere, is not
squeezed, bended and the plug connection does not get wet.
Regularly check the extension cables and replace them if they are
damaged.
Do not use any defective connection cables.
When working outdoors, only use extension cables especially approved
and appropriately labelled for outdoor use.
Do not set up any provisional electrical connections.
Never bypass protective devices or deactivate them.
Only hook up the machine by means of a fault-current circuit breaker (30
mA).
The electrical connection or repairs to electrical parts of the machine
must be carried out by a certified electrician or one of our customer
service points. Local regulations – especially regarding protective
measures – must be observed.
Repairs to other parts of the machine must be carried out by the
manufacturer or one of his customer service points.
Use only original spare parts. Accidents can arise for the user through
the use of other spare parts. The manufacturer is not liable for any
damage or injury resulting from such action.

Assembling

Assembling the switch
Install the switch (4) onto the switch base (a). [4x screw M4x10]
Assembling the frame
On each side place each one washer and one wheel (6) on the axle
of the pre-assembled device unit (1). Secure them with each one
washer (7) and one cotter pin (8).
Install the braces (3) on the leg frame (2).
[2x screw M8x45, washer and nut].
Screw the braces (3) and the leg frame (2) to the machine body (1).
[2x screw M8x45, 2x screw M8x75, 8x washer and 4x nut M8]
Do not yet firmly tighten the nuts.
Once all nuts have been installed, firmly tighten all screw
connections.
Assembling the saw blade casing
At first, remove the saw blade flanges (12 + 13).
Install the saw blade cover (9) with safety guard on the motor base
plate (b). [4x screw M8x20, washer and nut]
13
Assembling the saw blade
Danger of cutting! Wear gloves.
Slide the saw blade flange (12) on the motor shaft.
Screw in the clamping screw (16) (the clamping screw is used as a
limit for the correct insertion depth of the cotter pins).
Secure the flange using the cotter pins (15).
Remove the clamping screw (16) from the motor shaft.
Slide on the saw blade (14) and the saw blade flange (13) and
secure the parts using the washer ∅35 (32) and the clamping screw
(16) [M10x25].
Use the open-end wrench (28) to hold the flange (13) and tighten the
clamping screw (16) using the installation wrench (29) (tightening
torque 30-35 Nm).
Pay attention to the saw blade's sense of rotation (note the
arrow on the saw blade and on the safety guard).
Insert the adjusting screw (17) with one washer through the saw
blade cover (9).
Install another washer and the hexagon nut (f) (do not yet tighten).
Screw the screw (17) into the threaded hole of the device unit (1).
The adjusting screw (17) can be used to align the saw blade cover
(9) with the saw blade (14).
The saw blade cover must be parallel to the saw blade. Then,
secure with the lock nut (f).
Install the saw blade cover (10).
Assembling the jigging device
Install the jigging device (18) on the assembled device unit.
Tighten the screws on the jigging device only by hand and then
slacken the nuts by a half turn. The jigging device must move freely.
Installing the recuperating bolt
Install the recuperating bolt (19) with the recuperating spring (20) on
the bracket (c). Then loosen the nut by a half turn.
Insert the recuperating bolt through into the hole of the bracket (d).
The recuperating spring (20) must rest on the bracket.
Fix the bolt using the securing cotter pin (8).
Assembling the transport locking device and safety chain
Insert the screw [M8x60] and washer into the upper hole of the
jigging device (18) and secure it using a washer and a nut.
Screw the machine knob (22) on the end of the tread.
Insert the screw [M8x45] with washer and safety chain (21) into the
bottom hole of the jigging device.
Secure these parts with one washer and a self-locking nut.
Place the transport locking device (23) on the screw [M8x35] and
secure it using the lock
nut.
Do not over tighten the lock nut. The transport safety device
must move freely.
Slide one washer on the screw. Insert the screw into the bracket (e)
of the frame and place the end of the safety chain (21) on the screw
end. Fix the safety chain using a washer and a nut.
Assembling the guide rod
Insert the guide rod (h) through the hole in the motor base plate (b).
Secure it using a nut M5.
Assembling the support extension
Insert the support extension (24) and secure it with the machine
knob (25).
Assembling the handle
Install the handle (26) using 2 screws [M8x20] and washers.
Assembling the length stop
Insert the length stop (30) into the jigging device. Secure the length
stop with the star grip knob (25).
