Fit the steering wheel cover (1a), snapping it into
the appropriate seats.
3.3 FITTING THE SEAT (Fig. 3.3)
Raise the adjustment lever (3) and fitthe seat (1)
in the slide (2), introducing itfrom the steering
wheel's side, till the seatengages
in one of the 6 positions.
At this point the seat is engaged andcannot
be completely removed unlessthe lever (4) is
pressed, freeing it from itsretainer.
3.4 ASSEMBLY AND CONNECTING THE
BATTERY (Fig. 3.4)
Position the battery (1) in its compartment under
the seat.
Connect the red cable (2) to the positive termi-

Fit the spring (4) to hold the battery in place and
make sure all the wires are in front of the battery
so that they don't get caught in the spring (4).
IMPORTANT Always fully charge the bat-
tery according to the instructions in the battery
booklet.
IMPORTANT To prevent the safety device in
the electronic circuit board from cutting in, never
start the engine until the battery is fully charged!
3.5 ASSEMBLING THE GRASS CATCHER
BRACKETS (Fig. 3.5)
Fit the two brackets (1) on the rear plate (2), us-
ing for each bracket three screws (3) which are
supplied, as shown, without fully tightening the
nuts (4).
Attach the grass catcher to the brackets and
centre it with the rear plate (2). Adjust the posi-
tion of both brackets (1) in relation to the slot
(5), so that the pin (6) slots in place (7) when the
grass catcher rotates.
Make sure the grass catcher rotates as above
and tighten the fastening nuts (4) securely.
3.6 REMOVAL OF THE STOP FROMTHE
HOOKING PAWL OF THEGRASS
CATCHER (Fig. 3.6)
For transport purposes, the pawl (1)hooking
the grass catcher is held onto therear plate by a
stop (2).
This stop must be removed before fittingthe
grass catcher brackets, and is not tobe subse-
quently used.
3.7 MOUNTING THE FRONT BUMPER
(if provided)
• Bumper Type "I" (Fig. 3.7)
• Bumper Type "Il" (Fig. 3.8)
Mount the front bumper (1) on the bottom of the
frame (2) using the four screws (3).
3.8 ASSEMBLING THE LEVERS
FOR TIPPING THE GRASS CATCHER
(Fig. 3.9)
Electric control
Fit the lever shaft (1) in the groove between
the two plates (2) and fasten them to the in-
ner grass catcher brackets (3) using the nuts
and screws supplied (4), as shown by the se-

tach the two snap rings (8).
Before attaching the grass catcher to its sup-
ports, make sure that the tipping lever moves
properly.
4. CONTROLS AND
INSTRUMENTS
4.1 STEERING WHEEL (Fig. 4.1 no.1)
Turns the front wheels.
4.2 CHOKE CONTROL (if fitted)
(Fig. 4.1 no.2)
It enriches the mixture and must only be used
for the necessary time for cold starts.
4.3 THROTTLE LEVER (Fig. 4.1 no.3)
Regulates the engine's r.p.m. The positions are
indicated on the plate showing the following
symbols:
« CHOKE» (if provided) cold start
« SLOW» for minimum engine speed
«FAST» for maximum engine speed
– T he «CHOKE» position (if fitted, in alternative
to the choke control 4.2) enriches the mixture
so must only be used for the necessary time
for cold starting.
