Adjusting a connection in the terminal emulation program
NOTE:
In order to access the setup menu, use a terminal emulation program, which is
already installed on your computer.
If no such program is installed on your computer, you can also download the free
software PuTTY.

How to adjust the connection in the terminal emulation program:
1. Start any terminal emulation program (HyperTerminal or PuTTY, for example).
2. Create a new connection in the terminal emulation program and enter the fol-
lowing connection settings:
Bits per second:
Data bits:
Parity:
Stop bits:
Flow control:
3. Connect the Service interface of the signal extender's transmitter or receiver to one
of the computer's USB interfaces. Use the supplied service cable for this purpose.

The setup menu lists all signal extender settings in tabular form:
